I/O refers to dual cylinder system that drives tooling inside (I) and outside (O) of the tube at the same time.

When do you need CNC (computer numerically controlled) typically using Allen-Bradley Panelview / RS Logix system?

Answer: When same tooling is used in a multiple hit sequence, i.e., with each hit to achieve a different end (interim) result on the way to a completed tube end form.

Example: First hit might use fingers only to overexpand the tube end (e.g., have a tube cutoff process that left a dimple). Second hit would use dies and fingers to finish size.

Example: First hit would use an arbor (plug) and dies to form rectangular shape conforming to arbor shape. Second it would include only dies (arbor retracted) to finish the tube end to size and holding the dies closed to counteract springback.

A SERIES

I/O Sizing, Reducing, Expanding, Beading, Dimpling, Flaring 

Aristo A:601 or A:801 I/O Sizer

  • Optimal for a flexible work cell (small lots, frequent changeovers, many items)
  • Uses 20 HP Vickers motor pump package & efficient 6" (or 8") hydraulic cylinder to deliver over 56K lbf (or 100K lbf) for forming pipes up to 3" (or 6")  in diameter at sound level of only 74 dB
  • Enables standard universal tooling for quick change over & efficient utilization of tooling
  • Tooling repeatability to .001"
  • Requires only 24 sq. ft.
  • Integrates standard control system components based on Vickers proportional valves & Baluff linear transducers with own user-friendly operator program based on Allen Bradley SLC 503
  • Facilitates maintenance with total access design & modular construction

Aristo A:680  - 8" hydraulic cylinder back to back with 6" cylinder for tubes up to 3" in diameter especially for reductions requiring significant forming force.

B SERIES

Aristo B:680PV or B:680 M I/O Sizer

  • Optimizing or a dedicated work cell (large lots, few changeovers, few items)
  • Parker V-5 hydraulic power pack (15 HP, 55 gallon tank) is compact, efficient power source
  • Heavy duty 8" hydraulic cylinder back to back with 6" hydraulic cylinder enable sizing pipe up to 3" diameter including reductions requiring significant forming force.
  • Standard drop-in tooling for quick change over and efficient utilization of tooling
  • Micrometer style cylinder control (B:680M) or single stage proportional valves (B:680PV) for simple reliable setup and adjustment
  • Allen- Bradley Micrologix series processor, with optional Micro View MMI for easy operator interface
  • Compact footprint requires only 24 sq ft
  • Facilitates maintenance with total access design & modular construction

B:601PV or B:601M - 6" hydraulic cylinders for tubes up to 3" in diameter.

B: 801PV or B:801M - 8" hydraulic cylinders for tubes up to 6" in diameter.

Note: The new Aristo TH(A):601 CNC I/O Sizer offers the same capabilities as the A:601 in a twin head configuration.

Note: An A series I/O Sizing system can be integrated with (share frame, etc) an Aristo ram forming system if the application calls for ram forming & subsequent precise sizing operaiton.
